Trevento “Amado Sur” White Blend, Mendoza Argentina (suggested retail $12.99)  This wine from the foothills of the Lujan-Tupungato portion of Mendoza Argentina is a unique blend of 70% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Grigio, and 10% Viognier.  The Pinot Grigio and Viognier add floral and tropical fruit notes to the bright acidity of the unoaked chardonnay.  The wine is a delicate yellow with refined green tinges. On the nose you sense pear compote, with notes of pineapple, white peach and apricot.  It has a surprising well-structured mouth feel, balancing bright acidity with mouthwatering weight and lengthy finish.

Encanto Godello,  Bierzo Spain (suggested retail $13.99)  Godello is a grape variety native to Spain and rarely found outside of El Bierzo and Galicia in the northwestern part of the country.  Encanto represents the varietal exceptionally.  It is a beautiful straw yellow in color. On the nose the wine is fruity, persistent, and elegant with a lovely perfume of baking spices, melon, peaches, and minerals.  Round, spicy, and pleasure-bent, this smooth textured, impeccably balanced effort over delivers in a very big way.  Ideally pairs with all kinds of shellfish, seafood, and salads.

Bodegas Volver “Juntos” Merlot Alicante, Spain (suggested retail $11.99) In English Juntos means “Together”.  Many things come together to create great wine.  Jorge Ordonez and Rafael Canizares came together and built the facility that makes this wine.  The harsh continental climate and the chalky sandy soils of Alicante come together to produce perfectly ripe bunches of Merlot.  Finally, the talent and dedication of the winemaker come together to produce a wine of exceptional quality and finesse.  Its classical structure emphasizes the deep red fruit and the long silken tannins on the finish.

Restivo “Silver Series” Malbec, Mendoza Argentina (suggested retail $14.99)      Located at 850 meters above sea level in the Barrancas region in the province of Maipu Mendoza.  This area’s particular micro climate and stony ground make for wines of exceptional quality with an intense concentration of aromas.  The elegant, vivacious red color helps complement intense and rich fruity flavors of Morello cherries and raspberries along with very soft hints of Chocolate.  Round and balanced on the palate, this Malbec presents a pleasant complexity with harmonious finish.  Pairs well with roasted meat, fowl, and salmon.

Douglas Green Cabernet Sauvignon, Western Cape South Africa (suggested retail $11.99)  Douglas Green takes all the time necessary for the riveting dark berry fruit depth of our Cabernet Sauvignon to perfectly intertwine with etchings of savory spice from oak maturation in our cellar. If you love reds with focused fruit depth and astute body, you will relish the smooth intensity of this wine for fireside sipping or at the dinner table with your favorite steak, roast or stew.

Jim Barry “The Lodge Hill” Shiraz, Clare Valley Australia (suggested retail $17.99)    This wine has a deep black color with a magenta hue. Aromatically it offers vibrant notes of blueberry and dark cherry.  A juicy, fleshy palate is supported by ripe cherry and blackberry fruit. This is delicately built with fine, lingering tannins - wrapped up in integrated, well seasoned oak. This wine is ideally suited to good food, good friends and good conversation.
