It is hard to believe it is that time already. The grapes are likely still on the vine but before you know it they will be harvested, crushed, pressed, fermented, bottled, shipped, and delivered to Cork ‘n Cap on it’s traditional date, exactly one week before Thanksgiving day. We are still waiting for canned wine to be the next big thing. Meanwhile, a great deal on some came along.  Starborough Sauvignon Blanc has refreshing flavors of citrus and tropical fruits with notes of fresh-cut grass, passion fruit, guava and kiwi that creates a crisp, approachable palate. This refreshing wine comes from Marlborough, New Zealand. Chateau Haut Tornezy has been owned by the same family in Bordeaux for more than 120 years. Their vineyard is located in the city of Juilac, renowned for having the best “terroir” in the Bordeaux region. This blend, consisting of 65% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Malbec showcases red and black berries on the nose with a hint of minerality and oak. On the palate, tannins are well blended making it a perfect wine for food pairing. Priced at $10.99 per bottle or $108 for a wooden crate of 12 bottles.
